Established in 1979 to recognize excellence in video content, the Telly Awards have evolved to include a range of new platforms, including social media. We are honored to have been recognized in the category for Social Video Series- Education and Discovery. Other winners in this category featured work for Intel and AARP.
The Black History Month series comprises three short pieces, each focusing on the life and legacy of an important African American historical figure (civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., musician Louis Armstrong, and tennis star Arthur Ashe). Our creative team delved into research of each man’s life, outlining focal points to be highlighted. Combining archival footage, images, and audio with music, animation, and informative copy, our team adjusted the style and tone of each video to suit the subject matter. The common goal with all three pieces was to capture the historical significance of the individual while also providing additional perspective on some lesser-known details.
